Where I Stand

I have a lot to say about race, race and pop culture, multiracial identity, and race and gender. I also want to have a blog where I can talk about my writing career and how it’s going, as well as some of my other artistic goals. That’s what the Folklore Fanatic blog was supposed to be for: my random thoughts, jumbled up in a mixture of political rants, fiction writing aspirations and woes as a freelance artist. However, I felt like I was diverting attention away from the first and foremost focus of Folklore Fanatic . com to the detriment of both discussions on race and gender and discussions on everything else. Obviously, I don’t want to marginalize any part of my life. I think I can post enough pieces on race and gender tokeep up an entirely separate blog, and that’s where The Multiracial Muse comes into play!

So here I am, still the same me, just with two sandboxes instead of one. And I couldn’t be happier.
